Ouachita Mountain Recovery is not a treatment facility. It is not a facility of any kind. Ouachita Mountain Recovery is an experience in sober living. We are not about helping people to "sober up." To be allowed to live at Ouachita Mountain Recovery you must already be "sober" and agree to remain so. You will simply be a resident in a sober, structured environment which supports and encourages a healthy, sober life-style. Each potential resident will be screened to determine compatibility with the mission and goals of Ouachita Mountain Recovery. Acceptance into residency will require completion of an "Occupancy Agreement." All residents will pay rents in the amount of eighty dollars ($80.00) per week with the first two weeks paid in advance. Payment schedule can be tailored to individual need. No one is turned away because of inability to pay. This fee will include three meals per day for the first thirty days. After thirty days the residents will be responsible for their own breakfasts and lunches. Chores and maintenance assignments are a part of the Occupancy Agreement. Each Occupancy Agreement is for a period of six months to one year. The minimum residency is for six months. During this period each resident will be required to participate fully in the recovery program of Alcoholic's Anonymous, attend daily AA meetings either at the center (Pathway to Recovery Group meets here) or in local communities, find and use an AA/NA sponsor, take the twelve steps, and practice the principles of recovery in his or her daily life. The first thirty days at Ouachita Mountain will focus on adjusting to daily sober living. At the end of fourteen days each resident will be required to seek and find employment in the local community. This is a requirement regardless of the financial or economic status of the individual resident. Becoming financially self-supporting through his or her current individual efforts is a fundamental requirement of the recovery process and thus a condition of residency at Ouachita Mountain. All residents respond differently and individually to the twelve step recovery process. For this reason, anyone who feels "not ready" at the end of their residency agreement will be allowed to continue at Ouachita Mountain Recovery by completing a new agreement, provided that both the resident and the Director agree that continuing will likely be helpful to the individual's recovery. |
